Charlotte Mouyeaux

Board Secretary

“Charlotte comes from the Germanic Karl, which means free person, fully sovereign, belonging to no one but herself. It took me a while to truly grow into that meaning. But looking back, every role I have held, every cause I have fought for, every choice I have made has been a step toward exactly that: becoming free enough to act in full alignment with who I am.”

Charlotte has spent over 15 years building her career at the crossroads of social justice and environmental action, moving through roles in project coordination, financial management, grant writing, and organizational development across the non-profit world. From fighting discrimination in employment to preserving cultivated biodiversity, from supporting children in vulnerable situations to leading a solidarity-based organization, her path is not defined by a single expertise but by a consistent compass: the belief that systems of inequality can and must be challenged.

Based in France, she leads the Emmaüs Toulouse Community Hub, one of the three Emmaüs France Hubs, where she brings this conviction to life every day.

Charlotte and Mireille first met in 2010 at Bioforce, where both were training at the same time. What struck Mireille immediately was Charlotte’s ecological commitment, not as a stance but as a lived practice woven into her daily life. Over the years, their friendship deepened through shared conversations on participatory governance and the everyday work of raising children with values. They have walked their journeys as mothers side by side, always exchanging ideas on how to pass on what matters to the next generation.

She joined Terra Mucho in 2024 as Board Secretary, bringing her experience in organizational management, her sensitivity to shared governance, and her unwavering belief that justice, in all its forms, is worth fighting for.

Charlotte has two sons she is raising to be aware, engaged, and genuine allies to women. When she is not coordinating, advocating, or baking sourdough, she is out in the garden, living her values one seed at a time.
